Re: 5th Avenue Car Shops/Accurail CB&Q XM-30 Boxcar
Hi Tim,
I think I picked this kit up on n of my US trips back prior to 2006.
This website worked OK for me just now.

Re: Mathieson Tank Cars (Caustic Soda)
Bob, I don't doubt it, but this was in the 1990s wasn't it? I am not aware of epoxy-lined cars in the steam era, especially pre-WWII. But there were plenty of caustic soda tank cars around back

Bill, are you able to determine what the variants 1,2 & 5 are referring to in terms of details for configuration?

Dave, if it wasn't glass then he said epoxy. They had a number of cars in the same area all undergoing renewal of their epoxy linings.

A quick look at page 48 of the Atlas summer 2019 catalog (http://download.atlasrr.com/0619MCPDF/Summer2019MSRPOnly.pdf ) shows that these are new paint schemes on their existing meat reefer.

I am intrigued by the three variations in the 36' meat reefers, and also prefer the undecs. Body Style 2 looks like it might be close to some Swift prototypes. No photo yet for Body Type 1. I am

Re: Side & end ladder variations
Good point. I've long been aware (since I learned there were different numbers
of rungs) of ladder variations and have tried, at least, to locate them based on
photos.

Hi Tony
I emailed them but they have not come back to me with a price for postage to the United Kingdom.
I have a friend in Illinois who deals with them so I have asked him to get me one.

both are bases, anhydrous ammonia weak, caustic strong, net result of mixing would be to drive ammonia gas out, not good it uncontrolled conditions.

Atlas Freight Car Announcement
This link shows a few freight car releases for the era of this group. I like undecorated and so the three 1932 variations are of interest to me plus I think I may get one of the little meat reefers:

Re: 1937 AAR boxcar Vikiong roof
Just looking at these Viking roof '37 cars as a Viking roof has been done in TT to be matched with the old Gold Coast boxcar. I get C&EI, C&O, ERIE, NKP, Norfolk Southern (orig.) and some US military

1937 AAR boxcar
It may be inferred that I sold a faulty kit going by today's post from Paul
Doggett. I would like to mention that I have never offered for sale a C&EI Enhanced kit, so the mistake was not mine.

Re: Funaro 1932 CP Boxcar ( freight car paint schemes)
Hello,
Is there a way to get this Dick Harley presentation in print or book form? If so what is the cost?
I have trouble reading from a screen and this would be a great help.

Yes I am talking about the 1932 10ft height boxcar not the Mini Box.
Thank you for providing information on this. I did go poke around a bit on the CP Historical site and will certainly

Re: freight car paint schemes was:[RealSTMFC] Funaro 1932 CP Boxcar
Are you only interested in western railroads? Every type of revenue producing car? . . . or also M&W and cabooses? What eras . . . . 1900-1972 say for the C&O? . . . or 1926-1962? etc.?
