Clause that is an interesting scene. The BCR&M was short lived, 1868-1876. There was a north south line along with the east west branch. Those are early truss rod cars with archbar trucks. The CBQ car

The photo must be at the St. Louis Museum of Transport . The box cab in the background certainly looks like EMD #50, which is at the museum, and the CNER #5529 ditto.

Bill the Tk-O's were built in 1953 not 1963. And no those non skid strips were not there as built but probably added in the 1970's or 1980's.
