Re: ICC 105 tanks and BLI 6k tank
Garth,
I don't know, but their ORER entries do list the 6k cars as 100,000 pound capacity.
Unfortunately of the two Ethyl car photos in Ed's ACF book, pg 132 is of a 3k car, and pg 134 is a 6k car

Re: ICC 105 tanks and BLI 6k tank
Dave,
Most of Ethyl cars were carrying tetra-ethyl, a VERY heavy commodity, which is probably why 6K tanks were used. I saw a lot of these still running on the WP in the 1970s,

Thanks Tony - The Jan '43 ORER lacks the TPI, so it must have been added somewhere in that 18 month window.
I do have Al W's Jan '45 ORER CD with the TPI class - so that should answer my question. I

Re: ICC150 tanks and BLI 6k tank
Tony,
For the 1943 ORER, Ethyl and Hooker list TMI for their ICC105 cars (two of the owners who do list the ICC type.)
TPI wasn't included in the tank car type table in editorial section of the '43

ICC150 tanks and BLI 6k tank
With the second shipment of BLI 6k tank cars, I am trying to figure out just how prevalent ICC type 105 cars were during WWII, and specifically 6k cars.
Most tank car owner lists in the 1943 ORER do

Most appear to be color printers only, and I don’t see my B&W listed at all. I have emailed them and will let the list know.
Thanks!

Brian:
It might be worth shooting the Ghost people (I don't know of other suppliers; are there any?) an email and asking. Maybe if you ship them an empty black cartridge, they can fill it with white.

Actually, I was rather hoping they offered white cartridges for B&W lasers, like my HP P2035n. I can do black decals all day long on it, but it seems suppliers only make white carts for color

So a color laser is required? Count me out. I’ll stick to my ALPS.
Thanks!
