A GN diagram for the single car 29001 denotes it was built by Pullman-Standard in 1940 and modified by GN in 1958. The original number was 49759, one of the many former double-sheathed box

Possibly “staggered” door? If the door size was cut down in width it would me easier to cut down the plain edge of the door and leave the locking hardware side of the door alone. The opening

I definitely count myself a model builder-I deplore the trend toward RTR , but some of these newer technologies such as 3D printing and resin casting do make up for a lot of the loss of the old line

I managed to find an undec C&O/NKP Atlas 1932 box with the said radial roof (actually 15 ribs). Just removed the door tracks and use your UMM saw, easy-peasy. My roof is going on a Red Caboose Pennsy
