Look in RPC No. 24. And good luck with that one. You will need a special radial roof with 17 ribs. I have wanted to build one of those as well but haven't tried the roof yet. I purchased radial

Next car info
The next FtD box car Jason would like to build (me) is the 11000 series. These came from the DT&I so hopefully someone has a photo or two?
Thank you all! Clark

Tom Christenson sent me a photo of one of the SAL cars too. Those are so cool, I had no idea that was way to hang doors. Thanks for posting. Too bad Clark's search wound up with a standard car!

Re: Box car info
The January 1959 ORER says 6' doors.
In the January 1996 RMC (pages 72-75) there was an article by John Edwards on kitbashing an SAL 20-foot door boxcar from a combination of parts from Front Range,

60’s vintage ORER’s only list the 6 foot door. Then the FtDDM&S disappears into the C&NW. Maybe that might be a way to follow these two cars.

Entirely possible that what was written in an annual report was intended, but never actually done. What do later ORER's say about the door opening?

That occurred to me, thinking it might just be a typo, but it also occurred to me that it might be a term of art with which I am unfamiliar. So I thought I would ask.

This came from a spread sheet on FtD cars compiled by Ron Christensen. I just emailed Ron asking where he got the info. Jason Klocke, the guy interested in these cars looked through his Annual reports

Hear hear! I love this mixer, and it works with every brand of paint. No shaking needed.
The batteries last for a long time too.

Steve & Clark,To help narrow down the date, FtDDM&S 13000-13001 first appeared in the ORER sometime after 1/58 and before the 1/59 edition. The 1/59 ORER actually has Oct. 1958 in the lower right
