Re: [Proto-Layouts] Date photos from freight cars
Marty,
The sharply curved roof and sloping light stripe on the car truncated at the left edge of the lower photo makes me think of a CV milk car in a wet noodle scheme. I don’t know the exact year

Re: Looking for GA drawings for 1923 XM-1 boxcar.
RPC18 covered the XM-1. Plenty of L&N photos including a real nice B end shot. One photo of a GA car. Or if by GA you mean General Arrangement drawing, those are included too.

Speedwich Media's Prototype Railroad Profile #1 covers the L&N A.R.A. cars. It is similar to Ted's Essential Freight Car articles in RMC in scope and modeling tips.

The Santa Fe modified a couple of drover cabooses for the AEC to serve as guard cars.
One is preserved in Barstow at the Mojave River Valley Museum and another at the S. Calif RR Museum (OERM).

The reefer is certainly much later. Some of those GTW reefers lasted until 1972 and it looks like
the reefer has an AB brake system.

When I was in mainland China in 1989 in my rail travels I saw at least two separate examples of beehives mounted on railroad flat cars. I assume
