Re: A New Caboose—kit or built up—of interest to some Ya'll Modelers
Bill,
Just a bit of clarification. The steel cabs, are indeed Atlas HO scale cabs based upon a Magor prototype which are appropriate for Norfolk Southern Railway and some others, albeit for NS they do

In Signors book, Salt Lake Division, on page 184 (bottom photo) there is an engine that has large boxes mounted on the pilot. The photo is taken at Montello, Nevada. Was the engine equipped for fire

They only come in 4 packs and I have a 6122 ordered. As I really don't need 4 of these willing to trade as long as the postage doesn't get ridiculous. When they get here of course.

Re: Broadway Limited Tank Cars
Garth I believe these cars were discussed at length when first proposed last year. As pointed out all the paint schemes are accompanied by prototype photos.

Garth,
I can let you know when I actually have them in hand. They are due to arrive this summer. Ed Hawkins was involved in the research and development of the cars, so I am hopeful.

Very interesting artifact Tim. I have never seen one of their kits in a blue box. The drawing is from one of the magazines, very early, or perhaps a compilation of drawings. I have seen it somewhere.

Re: That MILW 40-footer other desirable SS DD cars
The Sunshine kits in question are 7-panel Z-Braced Howe Truss cars, one with composite end (builds up nicely) and the other with Dreadnaught ends. Mine will be built with CTSE reporting marks.

Yep, F&C #3301 MILW with blue box. Yellow resin - all main parts had to be flattened in hot water. Tough one for a first resin kit, yet for some reason it's still in one piece after all these years.
