Re: WWII Troop Sleepers
There are also a bunch of them abandoned on Snake Cay near Marsh Harbor, Great Abaco Island, Bahamas, brought there years ago as dormitories. Good luck to those who want to investigate.

Re: MILW 50-ft rib side box cars from Fox Valley
I was at Trainfest and saw their release notice posted at their display. The artwork shows a 50 ft Single Door series 50000 and a double door 50 ft series 14000. Both appear to be short rib. I will

Re: Tangent Scale Models GATC 8, 000 Gallon 1917-Design Radial Course Tank Car
How often was a tank car shopped/serviced/reweighed and restenciled?
How late could you find a car with the 4-23-40 date like the Deep Rock carin service?

Re: Tangent Scale Models GATC 8,000 Gallon 1917-Design Radial Course Tank Car
One undecorated version is described as an unpainted kit, and the other version is described as unpainted RTR, but that one also says ready for decals. Dave, please correct the web site to say the RTR

I'm interested in the UTLX 1958 repaint. How many road numbers areavailable and does it come with AB brakes? Also can they be ordered with semiscale wheels? It's a great looking car. Thanks, Walt.

Re: WWII Troop Sleepers
Alaska RR still has quite a few troop cars in MOW service, although I haven't seen the allied trucks in quite some time. A few are set about the state in museum or tourist display.

I'm trying to think of a single FVM model that I like......
Nope, nothing comes to mind.
I'll never understand vendors. For years and years we wish for a rib side
car. Then we get them from

That’s interesting. Any idea whether the full length rib versions or the shorter ribs?

Re: Humble Oil Company Tank Cars
Steve,
I have a photo of HOX 477 from 1935 or so. I will send it to you off list. It is a 10,000 gallon version of the type 17, non-insulated of course.
