Love the weathering Eric, and the chalk marks look like many photos of older cars I have seen.

Chuck, Des Plaines used to sell "hypodermic" tubing in many sizes - perfect for those pipe joints. :-)

That's some fine weathering, Eric! Super realistic.

All I can find are later versions of this type of truck, but nothing exactly like it.

Re: Rapido X-3 Tank cars
The best assortment of wire of all kinds I've seen has been at Des Plaines Hobbies. But the
piano/guitar wires and stainless steel wires are far too stiff for bending handrails.

I've used them under the Central Vermont milk cars offered by F&C. At least judging from photos in various sources and the drawing in F&Cs instructions, they were about right.

I built a few of the HO scale Tichy USRA single-sheathed box cars several years ago. Here’s my B&O version in a weathered appearance for my late 1926

Mine arrived two days ago.
That point about weathering is on my mind too. I’m looking at my B&O car in the old brown colour and starting to consider the options.

Those are MOW numbers. ATSF MOW cars are usually painted silver, as this one is.
Thanks!

I will chime in that mine arrive tomorrow according to USPS. Will be interesting to see how this group weathers them.
Tony's Train Exchange has them in stock

ATSF Flat Cars
At
www.boxcars.us
there are several ATSF flatcars photographed in 1985 that appear to be quite old, but the road numbers are not in my 1963 ORER.
Perhaps they are renumbered for MOW or specialized

Paint does make it even thicker, I personally would take the smaller alternative.
