Rapido X-3 Tank cars
I was fortunate to be at IRM yesterday for Rapido’s event. Bill Schneider had several early production units of the X-3 tank cars that I got a chance to actually touch. They look very nice.

Tangent makes a 1948 PS-1 car body with a 14 foot door opening now. This is for a rebuild of the
6 foot door PS-1 so the prototype did just what Charlie did to the Kadee

Ed Hawkins reminded me Kadee also made a 1948-49 carbody with a 7’ door decorated as New Haven 3 years ago and has since been out of production. Obviously the 6’ version was easier to

Yes, Kadee only makes the 1948 carbody in the 6’ RTR version. I had to remove the door tracks and replace with Evergreen styrene and Archer rivets.
