They are definitely NOT Symington-Gould Type XL. There are photosand
drawings of that truck in the 1953 CBC. The XL was applied to somePFE
BR-40-10 express reefers.

What I've seen of GTW paint is that it followed CN Standard colours until the 1970's when GTW President Burdakin changed things. You've a few choices for an accurate CN No. 11 Red paint match for GTW

The various Symington-Gould high-speed pedestal trucks I'm aware of all have coil springs within the sideframe on either side of the pedestal jaws, in addition to the spring above the journal
