These are former grain inspection and loading doors that were platedover. RP Cyc 13 shows the doors in the originalconfiguration.

There are two. One is Gloor Craft which are white metal. The other is styrene and I need to find the packages to tell you the name. I found them some time ago through the Walther Catalog, I think

MILW 22613 in the Prototype Railroad Profile I published was also fitted with the Superior doors when built in Aug 1945.

To answer your questions, there is no way to add weight except to hide it under a load. With Tahoe Model Works trucks, my model weight just 0.7 oz. But my model was not designed
