Tamiya Tweezers=Love Them
For several years I have been wanting to replace the tweezers I have with sharp point. They are not beefy enough resulting in the points actually slipping past each other. This only happens of course

Brakewheel, brake housing, granted not a bunch of parts, but my premise is that they have done only three freight car types

Guys;
There are some folks that tell me that this is so ANY of the cars can be offered (at least by BLI) at this price point. Different business model

Re: GBW/KGBW 4801o4879
If I had to guess, the car was *rebuilt* by Vulcan at some point. The car does have most of the Gla traits (end support style, end sill profile, exterior top eave) except for the PRR taper side posts.

Tim and all,
I've successfully repaired -many- broken handrails/grabs/drop steps
by using Krystal Klear as the adhesive. You are right - you can't do

Re: the last plastic kits
Are you overlooking Kadee's hopper cars Bill? How many parts
do they share with the 40 and 50 ft PS-1's? And what is the new
HO car they are working on? Not sure it is early enough for "our"
era or

Re: the last plastic kits
The Gould/ Tichy car uses molded plastic end handrails which are always being broken off by operators using uncoupling sticks. The plastic brake wheels have the same problem.

There are a number of compromises in Kadee PS-1 models. Hand brake wheels
vary, but not the hand brake HOUSINGS. Trucks are often wrong for a prototype.

Thanks for the photo link, Dennis and Jack. The hopper in question does seem to follow a GLa end support structure.
Is it just me or does the Vulcan Iron builder seem odd? I know they built many

I believe the Accurail gondola and the offset side twin hopper both use a more flexible material for the sill steps.
