Cerro Bend or Asarco 158 are useful metals but they do expand when cooling. The material has been known to split open more than one locomotive boiler and freight car.

Cerro bend melts in boiling water
its good stuff. Can you get liquid lead in the US very fine bird shot stick it in with pva. These days i use coins they are pennies clean and easy to use.

Perhaps no one has offered this as a possible solution, but I have always used tire weights. Not sure if they are pure lead, but the many that I have are easily cut down to the size needed. Always
