The roofs on the Monon 1-500 were Murphy rectangular panel.

The Monon cars are from June 1947. They are relatively easy to model with a Branchline car and a chisel blade to get the side rivets off. As an aside, the boys from PS would come and look at the

I used an undec. InterMountain PS-1 kit to create a model of a Mississippi Central example and the modifications to roof, ends, and tabs were easy to do. I used Champ decals.
