Re: NP war emergency box
The NP cars were built to their own design, the biggest visual difference being the use of 6 panel sides vs. the 8 panels of the AAR design.
The NPRHA has, within the past week, re-released the NP

OFF LIST Re: NP war emergency box, was W&R Northern Pacific 4 door round roof auto boxcar
You sure about this? I don't think the NP got any AAR design War Emergency cars, instead preferring to build to their own design.

CNJ 14000 series 36ft, single sheathed box car
NMRA sells prints of one of these cars.
Is it the same photograph appearing in the Kline/Culotta book?
Anyone know of any other photos of these cars?

Thanks for your input on the differences between the Atlas, and Kadee cars. I for one enjoyed it. Dave Boss

Re: Kadee ACF 11,000 Gallon Insulated Tank Car
Great David,
Now, please, can we have one for those of us with a cut off date
earlier than 1949???? How about something built in the 1930's or
at least before the end of the war (WW II).
Thanks,

NP war emergency box, was W&R Northern Pacific 4 door round roof auto boxcar
Armand,
Just change the freaking subject line and it is perfectly on topic!
As for your question, I’ll assume that you mean in HO scale. That car was imported in brass by Challenger. In addition,

Re: Southern Boxcar Aluminum Monogram
Sorry, this is not correct. There is NO physical difference in the stencil for monograms with aluminum or white paint. They are both from the same drawing, partially reproduced in the SRHA 40’’ SR

Tim, you have no way to substantiate that claim, just like Ben Hom asked someone the other

Here are some photos of a "stretched" Tangent underframe from their 6K acid car. It's a Type 30 and much more detailed than the Sunshine Type 30 underframe. Here's the underframe along side of a resin
