As noted, the CGW 1923 All Steel A.R.A. cars didn't have Creco doors, they had 3 panel car builders' doors. On line photos of the as-delivered cars outside of the link provided appear to be hard to

I wasn't saying "all tank cars lettered for any RR" - I put some wiggle
words because I knew about the SP (and other RRs). I was descrbing
the way most (only many?) RRs dealt with their tank

The SP, of course, served many oil refineries, particularly in California and in Texas (T&NO). I know of no refineries served directly by the WP, and for their fuel needs their

The Monon listed five tank cars in the ORER but with note D stating that they were not in commercial service. It was always my understanding that they shuttled back and forth between Lafayette Shops

Also I really, really would like an accurate Tk-L. That Bettendorf? cast underframe if done correctly is neat. I think now that 3-D is here and there are some good drawings it might be

I agree. The only RR-owned tank cars I recall seeing in revenue service are some UP tank cars hauling molasses on the Great Western in Colorado, and some CB&Q high walkway tank cars (!) in the same
