I have nothing against the NYC but I thought by the 1950's the single door 1916 DS car was no longer on the NYC as they were rebuilt to steel cars.
Do you know if there a source for DSS&A

I think that sporadic availability is fine if the wait is in months, it means that they are still selling. The guys you gotta worry about are the ones selling 10 year old stock, they'll never re-run
