Re: Vendome Tank Car Company
Great Stuff. Since I model Emporia, I should have one of these. Does anyone
make the decals in HO scale?

Re: Height of Tank Car Handrail
Bill,
A quick look at AC&F drawings shows the height of the handrail from running board for 10,000 gal ICC 103 cars to run from 3' 11 3/4" to 4' 4 15/16". Semet Solvay cars show different heights

Al,
While there are at least 3 configurations of these underframes over the course of their production span (and thanks to changeovers from KC brakes), here is what I consider to be the most

I'm building the Tangent General American three-compartment tank-car kit, and a lovely kit it is ... I'm thinking to add a little more detail: would anyone happen to know where the retainer valve is

A couple of comments. Would be good to put the prices on the sprues without one having to put them in the cart. Also the two wheelsets seem to be the same so what does

Height of Tank Car Handrail
In working on the Semet-Solvay project for Yarmouth I discovered the height of the styrene handrail on the InterMountain 10K car is 3-4 scale inches too high. The S-S prototype had a height of 4-feet

I haven't done it myself but my brother does it all the time by scanningand transferring/printing them on decal film. He does it with colors as well...These aircraft modelers have it all over

B&M flat car decks
I'm about to build a couple of B&M flatcars for a client, Sunshine #45.7.
Can somebody tell me if the deck boards were made from treated lumber or untreated?
Thanks
