As a kit manufacturer, let me tell you I would be very unhappy if my product was scanned and copied regardless of scale, without permission.

3D Scanning
I have told manufacturers at the various modeling events about this technology and their eyes appear to glaze over. Then someone mentioned that Rapido had used it on one of their locomotive projects

I know the early ones has detail on the inside (rivets, board lines, etc.) and the later castings didn't. The sheet shows an early side. I have had both types.
