Ed, I thought the consensus was that the Kato models were more like
the GATC clones than actual ACF cars. Several builders built nearly
identical 1958 cft cars.

The two models are based on the same ACF 1,958 cu. ft. 70-ton design, but the InterMountain models come with far better detailing. Among other improvements are wire grabs and locking bars on

So it really DOES take a rocket scientist to run an RPM meet.

Hi Scott--I keep distilled water handy for doing any and all decal work. A wet Q-tip can be used to wipe off the normal residue around the outside edges of the decal. A little experience will let you

When the decals have dried and hardened very gently rinse off using a cotton bud or Q tip when its thoroughly dry apply your favourite flat coat, I prefer testors dullcoat but any good flat varnish

I take a fresh Q-tip, dip it into warm water then just rub the area around the decals to remove any residue. I let the water to dry & then apply dullcoat.
