Re: DL&W Open Hoppers
There was an excellent article in the June-July 1985 Prototype Modeler by Wayne Sittner “Lackawanna 50-Ton two-bay Hoppers.” About 25 years ago, I kit-bashed a couple of these for my PRR Shamokin

Charlie, chalk marks!?
Whose?
I contacted Clover House about their product. Owner said he couldn’t find anyone who could print them the same way with the same quality so he wouldn’t reprint.

Hi Bill,
MM was the magazine that first sparked my interest in prototype equipment modeling, and the overall idea of modeling from the prototype, as much as possible.

Bill, was there an issue for May, 1990? It’s the only issue I don’t have and I’ve often wondered whether there really was a May ’90 issue.

I miss paper grain doors.
They were great for working under cars and trucks.
Thick enough that you didn't feel sharp rocks and the like.
And were fairly slick and slippery so that you could slide

I think the closest you will be able to find is the roof off of a Walthers 50' Automobile Boxcar. The proto 2000 series. The athearn 50' boxcar has a 14 panel roof but the Walthers car has a 15 panel
