Most models have excessive texture, particularly for cars that are in good
condition. Furthermore once you prime and paint a wooden boards on a car
the brush marks are more prominent than the wood

Sorry for the wasted bandwidth - looking at the wrong view of the shapeways part - the arch is only at the striker, the rest of the top is flat - so perhaps this frame part is pretty close -

I am working on a series of PRR X43 boxcars including the X43, X43A, X43B, X43C and X44 (which is a 50' version of the X43 design). All of these cars were listed as being equipped with 50 ton ASF A-3
