Magnifying the picture 400%, the "boxcar" appears to have reefer-type doors ... and real funny-looking lateral running boards. Insulated box, maybe?

Has far as I know they are a custom run for the kits.
The full sheet which I received also had decals for 6 other tank cars which I suspect are for all new cars coming from SC&F.

The Sunshine Kits site also has a brief history (link from "West India Fruit" on "Flyers by RR" page) on the ten 1923 ARA box cars purchased by WIF in 1949 from the High Point,Thomasville, and Denton.

ex-ERIE steel rebuilds
Bill, the photos I have are of A&EC 1101 & 1102 with rewigh dates 8-55. They appear to be freshly painted. The lower portion of the door on 1101, has a mental plate applied, about 9-12 inches high.

Re: Life that ERIE car
Bill,
Two questions, do you know which car(s) went to the A&EC and secondly
which Speedwitch kit is appropriate? I couldn't locate anything on the net.
Thanks,
Bill Hoss

Is this a steel sheathed box car in the Life magazine image? I don't see any rivets. It reminds me of the 36-foot, wood, double sheathed box cars the Erie owned. Here's a similar angle on an Erie DS
