I picked up a RTR IM Erie 82000 series box car. I know these cars had National B trucks, 8 rung ladders and poling pockets. What I don’t know is the type of running board and hand brake. Can anyone

Can anyone tell me when the canton Tank car Company of Cleveland ceased to
exist? Who acquired their fleet and when the CTTX reporting marks
disappeared. They are not in the 1957 ORER I have.

Jim, I read it as you did a 50' car not the 1950 era. When I opened the box and it was a 40' I was confused but then it occured it was '50 not 50'.
Oh well still a nice kit.

Jim, I think Martins box label is incorrect. I have that kit, I think as
my kits are packed but I noticed the same thing and oopend the box and in
my box at least is a 40ft car.

The on-line list of Martin's kits shows 39.8, a MP rebuilt Howe truss box
with diagonal panel roof and inverted Murphy end but doesn't state car
length. On ebay, kit 39.9 (which is the same as 39.8
