The RCT&HS web site list in its suggested colors for rolling stock that for Freight Car Brown use Floquil Boxcar Red or Scalecoate Boxcar Red.

RPC Vol. 3 lists RDG as 1 part boxcar red and 1 part oxide red with Floquil
Railroad Colors. Roads that are listed with the same mix include RI, SAL,

Paint color suggestions for Reading USRA box 1945-50
I've tried to search a bit for paint ideas on RDG's version of boxcar red (1945-50), but haven't found too much other than a general "Scalecoat boxcar red"-type suggestion. BTW searching the keyword

concurrently for at least two years, 1948 and 1949. I can't find any examples
of RP roofs applied after 1949...
