Re: WCHX type X tank car
While this looks like an ex-UTLX Type X car, I am not so sure. A 6500 gallon Type X car’s tank looks “beefier” than this one. So a 4000 or 4500 gallon car seems more likely. I don’t recall

Re: CB&Q Livestock Car: Single Deck? Double Deck?
I note that the Leadville Designs folks didn't make the effort to replicate the angle iron bracing on their N-scale models, although Voltscooter Engineering has shown that it can be done using 3-D

Mark,
Thanks, this is very interesting! I am fascinated that the UP also used cars from EJR – the East Jersey Railroad and Terminal Company. According to the ORER reprint, page

I am not surprised the manufacturers chose a conventional

Andy and Friends,
W.C. Haftner Co., operating 99 cars in 1958. According to my 1958 ORER listing, this is from series 4065 to 4102, an ICC 103 type, with a capacity of 4,500 gallons. A note says this

I assume “intentionally disconnected”, but could be a “whoops”?
