I suspect they don't have a end-of-track ramp, so drove it out on a flatcar then maneuvered it onto a side loading platform, which were much more common in small towns.

Don’t trust captions. It would appear that the fire truck was being unloaded from a GTW boxcar, on the Union Pacific and no UP boxcars were involved. I highly doubt that the firetruck was

It seems to me that the end result of this process was to move the fire truck from one STMFC to another STMFC!

A good way to jump into the resin casting pond is to go to an auto parts store and purchase JB Weld original epoxy and a tube of Loctite, Permatex or other high temperature 1200 degree exhaust gasket
