Re: Red Caboose HO '37 AAR kits and why I ain't selling any of them
Would these work out:
https://elgincarshops.blogspot.com/2022/01/the-first-new-items-for-2022.html
10 panel sides. 6' Door. The roof is separate. End panel separate.
IM just does not seem to want to

Re: Canadian Newsprint
I wonder: was the train documented in photos over the decades? Would be a bit interesting to see what mix of cars were used.

Yessir, another DT&I car, a 1923 ARA version, is the next car out of the SP shops and soon will be a 40 ft DD round roof (PRR X 31type) DT&I car as well. Don't know why but I like the old DT&I paint

Thanks for providing this information Rich.
I hadn’t noticed this series of PRR cars before. The odd impression I formed for the PRR car was that it is remarkably similar looking to the CPR

Whatever roof it is, and it should be called by its proper name, it is a cool roof for a boxcar. Ed Hawkins was correct a while back when he and I first started discussing this DT&I boxcar, Cambre it

Thomas,
Thank you for sharing your research and bringing the subject of pulp to
hobbyists' attention.
Here's some quick comparative statistics to help put this CND-US

Radial roofs (was DT&I USRA rebuild with Climax radial roof)
Why is it anyone's calling it a "Cambre" roof anyhow? When it first appeared in the 1916 CBC, and through the '31 edition at least, Hutchins called their radial roof offering a "Camber All-Steel"

David, You are are correct, however I have seen it called a Climax radial roof in various documents and modeling articles, obviously in error. Climax is actually 13 rib, the more common type. Sorry,

And it's about time to point out that the roof in question is a Cambre radial roof (a Hutchins product) and not a Climax radial roof (a Chicago-Cleveland product).
