Tank Car Questions (Dow Chemical)
As long as the tank car people are warmed up, I have been
researching what the Dow Chemical cars might have looked
like in the summer of 1951. I have several photos from

Re: decals this week
I have a Sunshine 42' Mather Rath car that I never did paint because
the lettering on the decals was too small and it didn't include
the REFRIGERATOR lettering. Now I can get the decals to finish

Randy, I have four photos of SCHX cars. Three are builder's photos
which show only the as-built lettering. One is a photo dated 1952
which shows the rather elaborate Stauffer paint and lettering

Tony -
Stauffer had several divisions across the country. Would the decals also be appropriate for the eastern division lettered SCHX?
Also, the SCHX cars were all either 8,000 or 10,000 gallon

I could only find a couple of top-down views of jacketed tank cars in Ed Kaminski's books, but none showed a top weld seam, so my view would be that it's not needed.

Clark means double sheathed.
I know we did TH&B on this car a number of years ago, and it looks like we are scheduled to do it again in a couple of months:

"Does anyone on this list have a good side view of this car for lettering

Accurail's car, if available, would not be an accurate model because the cars were revised with different door tracks. See photos of our models 3851 and 3852 (no longer available). - Al Westerfield

Re: TH&B
They do? What Accurail series are you referring to?
SGL
Accurail makes a USRA DD box. It's your only choice now anyways : )) Check
with them or 5th Ave Car Shops. Maybe they letter one?
