storage boxes used to hold feed for the livestock. This of course predates
the 1906 28 hour law, when railroads experimented

Huh. I don't dispute what you say you got for results, but the 10MB Tiffs
sure didn't do that for me; Shorpy's were much better. The LOC tiffs weren't
much better than the full panorama on Shorpy.

As with virtually everything posted on Shorpy, you can find the REAL photos at the Library of Congress website. It's not hard: usually, Shorpy saves the images with their original LoC digital call
