Re: Scale Digital Caliper
I have a dial caliper that is HO. It is made by General, and I think I got it through Micro Mark.
It is not stainless steel, however. It is some kind of tough plastic. I have not managed to wear

Re: Scale Digital Caliper
I'd love to see a scale caliper! Actually, you just need to change
the programming chip on a digital caliper. My digital calipers will
read out MM or IN -- just need a third display option, HO.

Scale Digital Caliper
Hi Everyone
Many years ago Pacific Fast Mail (PFM) had a Stainless Steel Caliper that gave you
both HO and O scales without a Dial or Digital readout. With PFM long out of business
needless to say if

Dave, I have a lot of photos of MILW stock cars and may be able to
find what you need if you can give me car number series.

Re: Formed wire?
You are correct about DIY, for that small wire, if you have the means to build a little pneumatic press, you can likely build it with Bimba cylinders and solenoid valves out of the McMaster Carr

Re: PRR X30 Experimental
Your right, Ben. I was just speculating on the other long cars he might have referred to. I did not look at all the photos.

Looking at the pictures it appears they made two or
three of them. Photo 9 shows what appears to be at
least 3

Re: PRR X30 Experimental
Jon, You may be confused with the X40, X40a & X42. They were 60' long, longer than any other freight cars during that period.

Images of MILW stock car requested
I'm making a CAD model of the 1926 series of stockcar (the one with the drop
doors). The model is a non-commercial, free contribution to be used w/ train
sims.
I have a few photos but all of them

Re: Formed wire?
Dennis,
"Multi slide" was the needed search term, it appears. Lots of leads turned up; thanks much for that. (One lead listed machines for sale, one of which weighs 9,000 lbs. Ye gads!)
