New Kadee car?
This morning at coffee one of the locals said Kadee just announced a 'new' two bay ATSF hopper. Anybody know anything about it?

Fenton,
The cars had freight car red sides, and Branchline's oxide color is very close to matching an AC&F paint sample for series 9000-9199. Ends, roofs, underframes, and trucks were black. White

Al, I have said for years, and I continue to maintain, that there was
no prototype for that model. If you think differently, show me the
documentation.

I think this was in the MARCH 2004 RMC and I sent you a scanned copy
off-list. Large file so hope you got it. If not, let me know and I will
try to reduce the file size.

Re: Question on Branchline GM&O boxcar 22063 AAR 50 Ton 40 foot 6 foot door
Good question: how *is* a novice to know? Well, one asks ... and usually gets informed. I like to take old models, and detail them up for the closest prototype; the complicated part is the research.

Are you too young to remember the Athearn "SW1500" which was in fact
a much older SW7, and yet Irv marketed it that way for almost 20 years,
even though he had SW1500 tooling sitting on a pallet

What ever happened to "truth in advertising"? How is a novice to know what is the real ASF-A3 truck? It is nice to have some steering advice on this. Thanks Brian.
