Re: ORERs on Google Books
Hi Jerry.
The key to finding a specific railroad using the downloaded pdf is pretty simple. In the front of each ORER is an index to where the railroad and private business are located in the PDF.

Limited use IMO. The one I D/Led is not searchable nor pages arranged in order. I don't have the time or patience to shift thru 800 pages to find a specific railroad.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded smaller jpegs of the instructions from eBay previously. What I am still looking for are the CB&Q 1884 drawings that Ambroid used to design the kit....

Wow! 20 ORER hits. Some I already have. The rest ought to keep me busy for a while. Thanks so much, Jack. I wasn't aware of the "more editions" thing but will see if I can exploit that, too.

Here is a great video showing a day in the life of a CO OP in one of Canada's wooden elevators. Gives a good modeling insight of how it was done.

They were done a long time ago so I'm not sure what the links to them are but I think that I did the following searches "ORER", "Official Railway Equipment Register" and "Railway Equipment."
