Specialty Paper
Circa 1950, what would be the traffic for common specialty papers in use
at the time? Admittedly, the volume would be quite a bit less than
newspaper but the volume would still be non-trivial.

Chicago & Eastern Illinois mather boxcar
I'm wondering whether the large C&EI reporting marks in the very large C&EI are appropriate for 1946. It reminds me of paint schemes on other lines from the 1950s which has my doubting it for me.

Dave,
I want to say that I, and I am sure that others feel the same way, that I much appreciate your photographing models at Cocoa Beach and posting them for all of us to enjoy. Thank you!

Richard is right. I took photos of almost all the models. Over 300 images including the names and some duplicates so it takes a while to get them all captioned. I'm almost done so they should be up in

Our PRR X29D is on Model Railroaders email update this week. Since it appeared there we have gotten some phone calls with regard to the problem with the original bodies that were defective.

I didn't think I was the only one but perhaps I was. Mine were more spread
out than normal, due to the prototype photo placards and such. But I guess
I did use a whole table.

You obviously didn't look too closely at my table then.... a few of mine were definitely in the lame category, but they were there to support my clinic and with a purpose.
