Re: "Albin Burroughs" = Robert Schleicher?
I have always figured "Bill Durown" was another pen name.
SGL
I didn't know that. Apparently Bob Schleicher was very prolific. The Model
Train magazine index lists 119 articles by Albin Burroughs

Thank you - Re: Re: Modeling truss rods
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions - lots of creative solutions.
My Southern SU boxcar has 8 truss rods. Maybe I can try a different technique
for each one and test them all on one car:-)

"Albin Burroughs" = Robert Schleicher?
Is it true that Albin Burroughs was actually Robert Schleicher writing under a pen name, so his magazines (Model Railroading, RailModel Journal) wouldn't be dominated by one author?

My experience is that ACC seems to make up a really tenacious joint between monofilament line and turnbuckles. In this regard I have not questioned the inherent relative adherence

Re: FVM to do the B&O wagontop in HO & N
B&O had four different boxcar paint schemes from the mid 1930s and the mid 1940s. There is a Chris Barkan pdf file on the Baltimore_and_Ohio Yahoo group that shows B&O box car lettering vs time.

If the turnbuckles and wire are brass, why couldn't you tin the wires, and
spot solder the wires to the turnbuckle on either end? That would produce a
stronger joint and still preserve
