My understanding is that the capacity for number of animals shown is based upon the space that would take up within the given length stock car. Example: the number of calves is higher

FYI, last time I visited the library last year, they had a severe shortage of microfilm readers. Got my ORERs in about 15 minutes but I never got a reader. Hopefully they've corrected this

Rock Island 93000 - 93048 were built by the RI in 1956 and were fishbelly
sides. They had 17 stake pockets with one in the center. There were McLean
Fogg strap anchors between the stake pockets.
