My gripe is that they have the nerve to call them color guides .
In the old Car Builders Cyclopedias they use to have pages containing paint chips.
Just like paint swatch books or swatch cards in

In that spirit, isn't it time to move on from bashing Yanosey/Morning Sun. And in the spirit of Ben Hom, haven't we traveled this road a number of times.

Guyz,
While the PRR had several hundred K7 and K7a stock cars rostered,
the most frequent visitors were from the T&NO, MP, T&P, Frisco,
and an odd AT&SF. Adds a nice variety to the operatiing

Interesting. Do you recall what railroads owned the stock cars used for these movements?
Does anyone know when this sort of live stock moves were started?

Re: warped resin car
My solution has been to install internal bracing in the form of thick styrene "bulkheads" to correct inward & outward bowing in box & reefer bodies near the roof line.
By think I mean at least 0040"

Re: Specialized Ore Cars and the Value of Captions
UC 599 is fitted with clasp brake shoes and a KD brake system. The car's frame is extended out past the end of the carbody, likely to allow longer truck spacing to spread the car's 125-ton weight

Clark--
Actually, they use colourised black-amd-white photos, too.
Their book "Great Lakes Trolleys" uses many of these.

Re: another SE road set
My artwork is all vector so I can do it in any scale. I've done sets from N-scale to O including TT and S. One or two of the sets was originally done for an S-scale customer.

Re: UP Freight Car Photos
Very neat Don. I would be interested in the history of the end door boxcar 161404. Why where the doors removed and the post looking things put in?
Thanks,
Scott

My only gripe with the color books is just that, they only use color photos, so anything that was shot in b/w is left out.
