Alex, Guys;
Sorry, I did not follow what car you are talking about. Can I see a pic? I can probably help resource this.

Tim;
You can see the lip really well in the attached from the Hagley. I am looking at the model now from ¾ overhead, and the lips are visible. This frame is pretty much the Rapido model.

I built this McKeen GN3500-3999 box in 1985 trimming the GN3000-3499 type side sill and adding a shortened Pacific HO roof.

I do not have that data, Allen. Dennis Storzek posted info on the Accurail truck tooling. IIRC, Brian Leppert tooled the Tahoe Model Works trucks to fit the Intermountain axles.

"What are the options for the overhanging diagonal panel roof? This seems to be one of those “missing” detail parts, for GN modelers in particular."
One option is to shorten one

I don't know about Type 30, but it looks a lot like the SP O-50-14 tank cars that were
built in 1942 and more were built later as well. An importer called "Drake" brought in HO

Eldon, to my eye it looks like the F30D stake pockets *added* a lower lip compared to the F30A, rather than removed one.

In addition to trimming the side sill (which is based on the GN 3000-3499 series), the roof should be replaced with an overhanging diagonal panel roof.

Eric,
Thanks for the wheelset dimensions. Do you happen to have corresponding data on various truck sideframes?

Re: Accurail DDR 40’ Boxcar Prototype.
You have to trim the sill, but it is essentially a Great Northern prototype (series 3500-3999 I think.) 12' doors on 40' car was somewhat passe by the mid 1950s, so you aren't going to find too many
