a complete set for the GM&O boxcar in addition to the supplemental on I

Brian, doesn't the standard Atlas plain bearing truck resemble
the Barber S-2? I'm pretty sure that's what they call it but I've
never set down with one to compare it to the prototype.

Rob I had some BB's rust in ModelFlex paint. They must have been a cooper coated steel. I was very surprised, ruined a few bottles
of paint. I can only speculate that somehow the ammonia in ModelFlex

Both the Branchline and Exactrail S-2 trucks were tooled by Chris Clune, and are almost identical. Branchline's is a one piece molding and Exactrail's is probably a three piece assembly. It looks

Exactrail has a 50-ton Barber S-2 with solid bearings, but I don't know enough to be able to tell if it has spring planks. The Exactrail website has photos that can blown way up for those with more

No. Tahoe's represents a truck with the Barber Lateral Motion Device and is very different. Currently, the only choice in HO for a 50-ton S-2 is Branchline's and it is spring-plankless.

In HO, Branchline-Trains makes a 50 ton Barber S-2, but without a springplank.
Milwaukee used the springplank S-2 under a lot of their rib side cars, as well.
