Caboose Trucks
Hi,
I'm well started along a project of adding marker lights to
a large number of cabeese. For the brass ones it is pretty
simple to "isolate the trucks electrically from the frame/body

Re: Making Rivets
Paul,
I'm puzzled as to why you wouldn't use Archer for this purpose? I cut single rivets off of Archer strips and use them all the time. Much easier than worrying about making rivets

Re: 8-panel 42-foot gon
I don't think that the 8-panel 42-foot gon(s) in N (Atlas/MiniTrix/Rivarossi/Bachmann/Model Power) were made to fit a underframe common to house cars.
Roco (who tooled the first one for MiniTrix)

"I was looking at the Library of Congress photo page and came across pictures of CMO boxcars 32800 and 3233x. What series where they in?"
A pointer to the photo may help

I know, it was all I had before the Archer rivets came out other than shaving them off of a donor car.

I have used the thicker gel CA's before for rivets. As long as it is just a few. I use .008 wire to apply the CA.

Making Rivets
There was some recent discussion about Archer Rivets. They look like a great product, as applicable. I'm going to try and use them where I can.
But, has there ever been found / discussed, a method

Clarification please. I am not trying to be a smart a** here. I am really trying to understand this so I don't end up in moderator jail. What constitutes commercial products? Obviously under this
