The only radial 40' roof I'm aware of that Al has in his inventory is the MP single-sheathed boxcar kit.

Tim,
The US Army Ordnance Depot south of Baltimore had what appeared to be an old USRA (or later knock-off)flatcar in their yard for years, archbar trucks included. I got the B&O Museum interested in

It looks like the Climax roof will be my stumbling block. Ah well, another potential project pushed to the back burner.
Gene, doesn't Al offer a radial roof with his C&O USRA SS box cars? I think

Armand, in the archives I think you will find many conversations
about tools, adhesives, paints, lighting, etc that are not directly
or exclusively about freight cars but are of very great interest

Harbor Freight has a fairly good milling machine. While I have
never done any accuracy tests with mine it does have good speed
control. Two positions, 0-1100 and 0-2500. It's $600 so don't

Re: Milling Machines
If you are concerned about accuracy then this should satisfy your demands. You
can roll this one around and plug into a 220v outlet. 30,000 rpms and you can
cut wet so melting isn't an issue. Todd
