Re: Railshops H31A
You guys are talking about the Railshops H30A covered hopper kit, right? Not
the H31A composite hopper? Or is this a new class?

While the debate revolves around repainted vs. reweighed vs. blt vs. new, et al., I'd just like to mention that I asked Greg if he'd send me the photo off-list, which he kindly did. The UP

Re: Non-Proto trucks on a Proto 2000 car
I checked one of my P2K tank car kits and found that it does seem to have a 1/8" boss for mounting the trucks, much like Athearn's, so you will have to enlarge the bolster hole on the (old) TMW

not a reweighed car. You're telling me the car was built in the

Non-Proto trucks on a Proto 2000 car
I had forgotten, but Proto 2000 trucks fit differently from most others, which makes it more difficult to swap in a set of trucks from another manufacturer. Case in point: I'm trying to use my Tahoe

This "wag" would like to point out that the "NEW 6 54" date seems to bear a very close relationship

Thanks Kurt. A couple of the usual wags thought they could read
the built date on the car, so it's nice to have actual facts. I'm
sure it would be a waste of time to try to explain to some people
that

Re: Railshops H31A
Eric-
Chris Z. is alive and well and working out some final details on the kits.
I spoke to him before Naperville about the decal art and saw him at Naperville.
The project is moving forward.
