I agree. With the cost of some moddels today what better way to learn and practice technique than to dig out an old car and see how prototypic and / or realistic you can make it.

I agree with John. Sure some old models are not accurate
but modelers can still learn from them. It's good to know
what is wrong, what is right, and why we care. And looking

Atlas did two Hooker schemes for the 11k LPG/Ammonia tank,
1067-x are lettered Tacoma and 1074-x are lettered for
Niagara Falls (can you say "Love Canal"?). I don't know
if either one is prototypical,

What to do with my Trix tank cars?
I bought awhile ago that three car set of tanks that Trix produced.
They are very attractive models and I like them; but, on inspection,
all the cars are lettered for chlorine service and all are east
