I understand they have to stay in business and put bogus paint schemes on cars. But can't
they at least do things like use magenta paint on the Chateau-Martin GPEX car, instead of
the purple they did

Brian, there is more to it. Intermountain has to pay their bills

Probably building those Tichy kits in China convinced them
that wire is really not that much more difficult and may even
save on tooling costs. But one always has to be wary of any
Intermountain paint

There are some subtle differences in WE cars too, like
the roofs someone mentioned. Martin never did the Wabash
cars because the bracing is slightly different. But I'm
glad to see the car in plastic,

I'll keep my eyes peeled. I wouldn't say "Intermountain has been doing a really good job
on their models recently" myself; they have made too many egregious errors in colors
(among other things) for
