Tom raises an interesting thought.... how much R&D are modelers willing to pay for? I am not sure what the industry experience is on premium priced items, especially if the exact same item is

It may be obvious to you for your approach to modeling, but it doesn't apply to the broader market where each modeler decides for themselves what equipment will go on the layout and for which

Armand,
Most manufacturers use commercial paint that is not available to modelers, so providing paint matches is not possible. We may be able to move them towards providing something like a RAL

It's hard to provide specific dates on a "generic" model like the Atlas car . . . although I suppose they could simply "wing it."

Cutting 0.005" into strips
Here is how I have been doing it. Using the edge of the 0.005" styrene
sheet as a guide, glue small bits of strip at the ends, abutting the edge of

Ok - thanks Tony - that's a start. So ships brought the fruit some ways up the west coast - which makes economic sense to me (as would continuing the rest of the way).
