First, No-dashes-in-PRR-car-classes! (Ben is on active duty, so somebody has to pick up the slack <VBG>)
Wabash, I believe, had 50' X33 clones, not 40' X31(B) clones.
N&W's B2 class was a double

Re: Plain bearing truck weathering...
Steve;
I agree with you, and other than "new" cars, I weather accordingly.
My current take on trucks is to start with Grimy Black on all but treads, and
then weather the sideframes

The N&W cars were 49200-49299, class B2 built by Magor in 1936.
You also could conside the DT&I series 12000-12399(Greenville 1937) or if
you model the 1960's these cars were sold to the NP as

Guys,
The National Archive collection is very wide ranging in terms of dates.
There are a lot of pre 1900 shots, especially of passenger cars. I recall one
box contained dozens of LS&MS truss

Re: Freight car usage during World War 2 - Auto Box Cars and 50' Flat Cars
Jason, another possibility you should consider is one of the Red
Caboose 42' flat cars, which - though most of the multitude of RC P/L
schemes are bogus - are dead-on accurate for the NYC lot

Thank you for the information on the flats and the boxes. I was going to add a couple of PRR FM flats to the roster for some mine machinery and some lumber but might need to rethink that.
