Bruce, thanks for the info on the HO PRB car.
I have the O scale PRB car. The tanks on it are
separate pieces, and IMHO it is a nice model. Very

Rod,
No offense to you or the person selling this car, but the Pecos River car
is just AWFUL! A close look will show you that the tanks are a single
stamping. Heck, the Ambroid car looks better!

Matt,
As built photos of hopper cars from 1912 display Wabash in 18"
letters. According to the WRHS these were changed to 33" letters in
April, 1955.

Don't know if there are any "Wabash Gurus" in the Group, but was
curious if anyone had any info on Wabash hopper lettering.
In what year did the WAB go to the jumbo W A B A S H on the side

Re: Helium Cars
The last word I heard, Speedwich was going to offer these once the masters were made. Jay Miller was spearheading the project and had a quality clinic about them at the Santa Fe convention in 2007.

Agreed. However, "northwest Canada" i.e. the Yukon territory beside Alaska, is about 2500 miles from where these archives are

Hello Chuck,
It's usually not too hard to drill HO center sills by chucking the bit at the extreme end in a pin vise and turning it by hand. Use a scriber to prick a good starting point. For drilling

I generally use a dental burr to drill a hole sideways in a frame member if I could not drill before assembly (or just forgot).
