When I used this approach for patch panels on an X29, I did not have any problem, although I also grit blasted the surface. I did however have a problem with coverage as the silver metal

This may have been true on the EXTERIOR of vehicles, etc... but recently I visited the USS Bowfin
and EMD and GE logos were all over the engine room and other model nameplates clearly had
manufacturer
