LCL was a RR's service not a shipper's service. So unless meat was delivered to the RR's freight house and the RR loaded it into a car it would not be LCL. There was a service where a shipper

rostered express reefers that commonly ran on passenger trains. They did not

In Yorktown, IN along the NYC Marsh Foodliner had a produce warehouse. An Indianapolis to Cleveland passenger train would rip through Yorktown stopping at Muncie where it would drop off
